How do you calculate the monthly streams and views?
- Spotify monthly streams and YouTube views first calculation start at 5th or 10th day of the month depending on MUSIC RANK Team work schedule, because of the limited work hours. The final calculation will began at the 25th day of the month.
*The calculation will not be based on the total views/stream shown on the said platform.
Example:
1st count of streams = 1M
25th day count of streams = 5M
(1M-5M = 4M Monthly streams result ) *It also apply on YouTube views
What if the artist song exceeds monthly streams, mv views and online votes?
-The song will have additional points and automatically get the #1 spot, but if another song have the same points we will implement chart rule #3.
Do you consider music artist don't have Spotify?
-We consider them if they are official artist on YouTube Music platform. For now only Spotify & YouTube Music are the only platform we allowed.
What if the artist song is available on both Spotify & YouTube Music?
- In terms of counting the monthly stream Spotify is the standard for MRAHot40Chart. YouTube Music is another source of counting the stream if the song is not available on Spotify.
What if the song exceed 5M or more monthly streams?
-The equivalent points will be the same because additional points will be determine if the three portion of the criteria exceed on "Four Ranking Classifications".
What if the song exceed 20M or more YouTube views in a month?
-The equivalent points will be the same because additional points will be determine if the three portion of the criteria exceed on "Four Ranking Classifications"
Do you have maximum number when voting a song?
-Yes we have! The maximum number is 5,000 votes after that the song automatically remove from the voting system and secured it's 20% Online Votes.
Is the total online votes being collected is equivalent to 20%?
-No It will depend on the number of votes being collected , because online votes need to achieve the "Four Ranking Classifications" that will be equal to points.
Is online voting has time limit?
-Yes it has! The time limit for voting is 12:00AM - 6:00PM (Korean Standard Time)
What is the highest points to reach the #1 spot?
-10,000 points (100%) but not all the time it could be 100% it will depend on the total amount of points that the song accumulated.
How will you solve if two or more song have tied points?
-The MUSIC RANK Team will implement chart rule #3 "Songs that have the same total points in the chart will rank by their monthly streams."
Example:
Artist A (10,000 points) "Artist A Monthly Stream = 1.1M streams"
Artist B (10,000 points) " Artist B Monthly Stream = 1M streams"
(So Artist A will get the higher position on the chart because Artist A get 100K more streams than Artist B)
Do you consider new song entry?
-Yes! If the song meet the #MRAHot40Chart requirements.
What will happen to other song if new song enter the nomination?
-The MUSIC RANK Team will remove a song who will rank from 35-40 last month.
What do mean about "A song that stays on the chart for five months will automatically consider as Certified Gold and leaves the chart right after." but your team remove the a song charted in 35-40 place?
-The MUSIC RANK Team only consider a song charted from 1st or 34th for five months to become certified gold.
What is Certified Platinum?
-Certified Platinum is given to a song that maintain it's position on the TOP 10 for 5 consecutive months.
