An alleged investor stated that Min Hee Jin and an uncle of a NewJeans member, referred to as 'A', approached him with an investment opportunity last year. On January 9, KST, an exclusive media outlet published an alleged interview with Park Jung Kyu, the president of DAVOLINK, a communication equipment company. The report states that Park met Min Hee Jin in August of the previous year to discuss a potential investment in a new entertainment agency. However, following the meeting, Min Hee Jin publicly denied any connection with DAVOLINK when accusations surfaced about her colluding with external investors to gain independence from HYBE Labels. According to Park's claims, this public denial caused DAVOLINK's stock prices to drop.

In the interview, Park explained that he was first approached with the investment opportunity by 'B', the uncle of NewJeans member 'A'. Both 'B' and Min Hee Jin requested Park's investment of 5 billion KRW and arranged an in-person meeting. During the approximately 3-hour meeting, Min Hee Jin reportedly asked, "Is it possible for me to leave HYBE and take NewJeans with me? What should I do to make that happen?". Park allegedly advised, "If you leave ADOR on your own, the company's value will decrease, creating an opportunity for you to take NewJeans with you."

Additionally, Park stated, "She spent a lot of time complaining about Bang Si Hyuk. She even referred to him as a 'fat a**' in front of someone she had just met. When I heard that, I thought, 'I would rather not work with this person'. "However, in November of the previous year, Min Hee Jin's representatives strongly denied rumors that an uncle of NewJeans member 'A' played a significant role in securing investment from an external company.
