Here's how we calculate the chart:
First understand MUSIC RANK ASIA'S HOT 40 CHART criteria below.
50% Spotify Monthly Streaming (5,000 points)
30% YouTube Music Video Views (3,000 points)
20% Online Votes (2,000 points)
As you can see there are points above They represent the equal value of the percentage meaning artist song needs to get this total points in order to rise on the chart.
Second, there are amount of streams, music video views, and online votes to be considered in order to achieve those points. Every point on the criteria has four ranking classifications for example if the artist song has 1M streams in a month it could get 5000 points that is equivalent to 50% of the criteria, but if the song has lower streams it could get lower points.
To understand more about the four ranking classification we provide a summary of them below:
Spotify Monthly Streaming (Four Classifications)
1M or higher streams = 5000 points (50%)
400K - 900K streams = 4000 points (40%)
100K - 300K streams = 3000 points (30%)
50K - 90K streams = 1000 points (10%)
10K - 49K streams = 500 points (5%)
YouTube Music Video Views (Four Classifications)
11M or Higher views = 3000 points (30%)
5M - 10M views = 2000 points (20%)
1M - 4M views = 1000 points (10%)
100K - 900K views = 500 points (5%)
Online Votes (Four Classifications)
5,000 or Higher votes = 2000 points (20%)
1,000 - 4,000 votes = 1500 points (15%)
900 - 200 votes = 1000 points (10%)
100 or lower = 500 points (5%)
Now you know what is four ranking classifications in every portion of the criteria the last thing you need to know is how we combine them together.
Computation:
Monthly Streams + YouTube Music Video Views + Online Votes = Total
*The computation will be on points not in percentage
